Meet Dr. Amechi-Obigwe
Dr. Amechi-Obigwe graduated from the University of Nigeria Enugu and practiced general medicine prior to emigrating to Dallas, Texas, to join her family. After a three-year family practice residency with the Bayshore Hospital in New York, she moved to a group primary care practice in Minnesota. She became board-certified in family medicine and practiced for over five years with the Mayo health systems in Saint James, where she received a recognition in patient satisfaction and Diabetes Mellitus care. As a member of the Minnesota Association of Family Physicians, she worked to organize the Winter Conferences for three years and was a Minnesota Minority Delegate to the National Conference of Special Constituencies in Kansas in 2012.
Dr. Amechi-Obigwe was raised in a rural area of Nigeria and understands the struggle rural residents of ANY country face when they are in need of health care services. She is drawn to rural communities because of the friendly people, and her passion to help bring the opportunity for compassionate, cost-effective, medically -sound, yet patient-centered health care to those rural residents.
Dr. Amechi-Obigwe and her husband Amechi are blessed with four children: Blossom, Lilly, Joshua, and Olive.
Rochelle Beam, M.S.
Rochelle Beam is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Master Degree in Dietetics. She joined Vernon Clinic in August 2016 where she is the Ideal Protein Health Coach. She enjoys helping people improve their health through weight loss. Previously, she was Adjunct Professor of Nutrition at Vernon College and also Account Specialist with Novartis Nutrition. She and her husband, Roger, have five children and 9 grandchildren. She is a native of Wilbarger County. In her free time, she serves as Life Group leader along with her husband in their church in Altus, OK. and is a children's book author.
